  • call me...

Crazy, but the creepiest thing just happened to me... It's 5:43 right now, in the morning. I was that creeped out, that I got right on xanga after how long to blog about this.
I just woke up randomly at 5:40 am, feeling wide awake and refreshed, and I sat there for a moment, before I turned to my left (facing my wall). The thing...person...image...? I saw is what creeped me the heck out. I saw someone sitting on my bed. The last time something happened like that to me was when we first moved into this house: I was 8, I woke up, and saw a man sitting on my bed... DRINKING TEA... OUT OF A TEA CUP. And he has a top hat on, and was dressed like he was about to go somewhere nice. He smiled at me and waved, and then I ran to my light and turned it on (why do we always think the light is going to help? It does, but it's so weird), and he was gone.
Okay-- well, back to this. There was some person sitting on my bed, they looked to be Indian, not Native-American, but Indian. It was a guy, and he looked to be young, but not really young.... Wow I sound crazy. I freaked out-- I looked away and back and...it? was still there. Man, in record time, I threw my hot covers over my head, turned to the right under them and reached for the switch to the light that's right next to my bed. Another creepy thing was that after I turned on the light, I looked to my pillows (I have my bed set up the opposite side of my door, on my left wall, so it's right up against the wall. All of my pillows lean against the wall; I have one long, black pillow that goes right against, and then other black and white ones that sit against that one and my bed frame) and, God knows these pillows are never like this, they were pushed away from the bedframe, and the black pillow was away from the wall, leaning way back, so the tip of it was touching the wall. I put them back, fast, and wow, I was that scared I did that in 3 minutes. It felt like a lifetime. I feel so creeped out. And I'm wide awake...and it's not even 6 yet. What did I eat last night? Salmon? Man... You know, why is it in the horror movies, that the character acts like he's totally not afraid when goes and confronts the ghost..image...thing? I mean, (pardon my language) but damn. There's a freaking demon under your tent, in your room, it pulled on your freaking leg when you got out of bed this morning, and you confront it like it's normal for this to occur.
"Yeah, hey mister ghost. Is there anything I can help your forget so you can disappear into whatever ghostliness you should? So that you will stop scaring the bejeesus outta me? No? Oh you said yes. Oh, you want me to attend your funeral, okay! Oh, and you want me to go into your room? I don't know your family though...I-I'm not sure they'd go for that-- oh, okay, okay. Don't worry, I'll do it. Just please don't come out my wall again. That was just too freaky."

    WTF?

  • You know what my favorite word is?

    ELEPHANT.

It's such a beautiful, elegant, delicate word. I love how the P looks so gentle next to the H.
It also looks exotic, and indie at the same time. I love how when you speak the word, it rolls off your tongue almost naturally. Almost like a sigh.

    elephant

If you just take the time to look at a word...it turns into just that. Just a mix of letters.
If you  look deep enough, it'll get to the point you can't even read the word anymore.
What is a word? When you say a word, what are you saying?
    What is a language?

Do this. Take a look at a word; say, elephant.

Study the word, stare at it from every angle possible. Imagine how it would feel and look to you if you didn't speak or read English. Look at the symbols that created themselves into a word.
After a while, it gets confusing.

    What is a word?

  • The Sunflowers + The Wonderfulness of Cakes...

I posted videos of the concert on the blog ( v ) below this one.

Here are pictures of my sunflowers. I'll start from the beginning.

The day I got back from Taiwan, this is how tall they were in the pot:

Soon, I got the "mushroom" problem.

There were many of these lil' suckers growing in there... To get rid of them, I removed the top soil and kept the pot in a sunnier place.

I took the sunflowers out of the pot, and moved them to behind the spa.

Crazy beautiful. I can't wait for the rest to bloom.

Oh, here are the two cakes I made. Just for fun.
    securedownload
The petals are chocolate chips..that's my mom, cutting a miniscule piece of cake, lol. It was like 2 AM when I took that and she was dying to have a piece, haha.

This is the fondant cake. I just messed around with it and had a small cake recipe. The result of that looked like a car. I was going to decorate it as a car (lol) but I only had green icing and sprinkles. So I put green icing on the bottom of the pan (when you bake it, it gives the inside this cool coloring effect) and chocolate chips. It's yummy.

The bow looks crack-y, but I'll do better next time. It was my first time and I was trying it out and it was very late, lol.

Ok, I promise: these will be the last pictures.

My baby Indie...I miss him so much.
I can still remember how it felt to wake up in the morning and hear his happy chirps when I stepped out of my room. And I remember exactly how it felt when he would rub his silky little head against my cheek.
Is it crazy if I said I still feel he is here with me?
..here's a short video of him.

    Chirping in the morning.

    END PICTURES :)
